Privacy Policy

SyncEar shares audio directly between phones. It was built to work without collecting your data.
What we collect
Nothing is sent to us. SyncEar has no account, no server, no analytics, and no ads. Sessions run directly between devices over Bluetooth or WiFi.
Your audio
Audio you broadcast is streamed live to listeners in your session only. It is never recorded, stored, or uploaded.
Permissions we use
- Microphone: to capture the audio you broadcast.
- Bluetooth: to find and connect to nearby sessions.
- WiFi and nearby devices: to create or join a WiFi group when Auracast is not available.
- Camera: only while you scan a join QR code. No images are saved.
- Location: required by Android for WiFi Direct discovery on older versions, and never used to track you.
- Notifications: to show an ongoing session you can stop anytime.
Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit any personal data, because we do not collect any.
Future features
Optional paid features may be added later. If you subscribe, an account and payment would be handled by a trusted third party provider under their own terms. The core audio sharing stays device to device.
Children
SyncEar is not directed at children under 13.
